How to Delete Your Browser's History?

A web browser will keep track of the websites you visit, and it will also keep other relevant information. The “History” feature is of great use when you want to return to a site that you were on a few days ago, but don’t remember the web address. However, your browser history can be seen by anyone who uses your computer. The three most popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox) will allow you to delete your browser history.

In IE, the history can be erased by opening a browser window. At the top of the page, there is an option marked “Tools”- click on it and select “Delete Browsing History”. Click the appropriate options to get rid of any data that you wish- Internet Explorer offers a lot of options when it comes to erasing your personal data. When you’ve made all your selections, click “Yes” to confirm, and you’re done.

In Safari, erasing the history can be done in the following way. Open a Safari browser window, and click the “Settings”option. Under that list, select “Remove History Items Manually”. Return to Settings, and choose the items that you want, highlight them, and delete them by pressing the delete key on your keyboard.

With Firefox, you must open a browser window, then click “Tools” at the top of the page. From there, click “Options”, and then click the “Privacy” tab. You will then check the box that says “Clear history when Firefox closes”. Then, you can go to the Settings tab to choose what information you want to delete. Close the browser window, and the history will be deleted the next time you open your browser.

Deleting your browser history can increase your privacy and prevent potential problems and embarrassment. With the tips above, you can delete your history quickly and easily.
